Why do people care so much
For the things of this world?
Why do they search for happiness
In something that will not last?
Why don’t they see
That there is something much greater,
Something that won’t fade away,
Like the worldly things they so eagerly follow?
Why don’t they realize
That it’s all worthless?
The only thing that matters
Is God’s love.
It’s the only thing
That can bring them eternal happiness.
But they so easily dismiss it
Like it doesn’t matter
And follow the ungodly things of this world.
Why is the world so blind?
